About

I'm a first-generation Mexican-American college student from New York City studying Computer Science at CUNY Hunter College, with minors in Mathematics and Environmental Science. I discovered Computer Science during my sophomore year, and quickly became drawn to the way it challenges me to think critically, solve complex problems, and build meaningful solutions.

Since then, I've developed a strong interest in data engineering and cybersecurity, especially in areas that involve real-world problem-solving and improving systems. I'm currently taking courses in Operating Systems, Network Security, Data Visualization and Analysis, and Artificial Intelligence, while also completing CodePath's Applied AI Engineering pathway.

Through my academic and project experience, I've built a solid foundation in full-stack development, analytical thinking, and collaborative engineering. I enjoy working on problems that connect technology to real-world impact, and I'm especially interested in building systems that are secure, intelligent, and user-focused.

Outside of academics, I enjoy street photography with my Fujifilm camera, traveling, and spending time with friends, family, and my two cats.

I'm currently open to opportunities that allow me to keep building, learning, and exploring wherever this journey in technology takes me.
